This hotel was the first of it’s brand in New York City. The particular challenge was to meld the European design aesthetic and expectations of the German-based headquarters with American technology, code requirements, and standards. The German brand philosophy is that each hotel must have a unique architectural personality, sleek rooms, and stylish destination bars and restaurants, all aimed to fulfill the needs of the business traveler. Lighting played a huge role in achieving this goal.
